Hi

Attached is your Personal EveryDay account statement for 2025/08/01. Use your ID number as the password to open it.

As tax season kicks in, fraudsters are working overtime to trick unsuspecting customers into handing over sensitive information. Here's what you need to know to protect yourself.

🕵 How the Scam Works

Claims that you are due for a tax refund or owe money.

Urgent calls to action like “click this link” to verify your details.

Links to fake websites that look legitimate.

Once you click on the link, they will try to:

Steal your bank card details or security PIN.

Log in to your bank account and steal your money.

Use your details to make online purchases in your name.

❌ What You Should Never Do

Never click on suspicious links in emails or SMSes.

Never share your PIN or online login with anyone.

Never respond to messages using fear or urgency.

Never share OTPs.

Don't disclose personal or banking details unless you're 100% sure.

âś… What You Should Do

Verify the sender: SARS won't ask for PINs or card info.

Report phishing: Forward messages to service@tymebank.co.za or contact 0860 999 119.

đź’ˇ Stay One Step Ahead
