🚨 This is a fraudulent request for quotation (RFQ) for 200 x DSP-790 Solar Street Lights allegedly from the Department of Correctional Services (DCS).
🚩 Why This RFQ Is a SCAM
| Email used in similar scam patterns | Matches previous fraudulent messages impersonating DCS officials. |
| Generic wording (“Urgent RFQ”) | Common tactic to create panic and urgency. |
| You are encouraged to outsource | Real RFQs do not ask you to "find a supplier" — they expect you to be the supplier. |
| Eventually refers you to a “preferred supplier” | These are fake vendors who will ask for advance payment and disappear. |
🛑 DO NOT:
Reply to the email.
Send a quotation.
Contact any “recommended supplier” they send next.
Make any payments — even to secure the “deal.”

Scammer sends an official-looking RFQ.

They refer you to a fake supplier who gives you a quote.
You pay the fake supplier.
The scammer disappears. You're left with the loss.

Appear on the official government tender portals.
Never ask you to find a supplier.
