⚠️ SCAM ALERT: Fraudulent Tender Using Nomthandazo.Myeki@dcs.gov.za
🚨 This is a scam impersonating the Department of Correctional Services (DCS) with a fake RFQ for MVC752M Fingerprint Scanners (Bid Number: DCS-13-2025).
❗ WHY THIS IS FAKE:
| Unusual Email Timing (10:30 PM deadline) | South African government offices never close tenders late at night. |
| "You can outsource" tactic likely to follow | These scams trick you into working with a fake supplier, who takes your money. |
| Previous scam patterns match | Recycled language, formatting, and scam script used in dozens of fake DCS RFQs. |
| Unverified sender identity | No proof that “Nomthandazo Myeki” works at DCS — likely a fake or impersonated name. |
| Domain/email structure abused in previous scams | While it looks like an authentic @dcs.gov.za email, these can be spoofed. |

🧠 How the SCAM Works:
-
You receive a fake RFQ for an urgent product.
-
You are told you can “outsource.”
-
They refer you to a fraudulent supplier.
-
You pay that supplier.
-
They vanish — and so does your money.
If you want, you can upload the RFQ attachment and I’ll help verify the language, logos, contact info, and tell you exactly where the fraud lies.
Stay alert and feel free to ask if you’re ever unsure about a tender.
