Fraudsters are getting smarter, so it’s crucial to stay alert and protect yourself from scams.
Here are some common fraud tactics to watch out for:

Vishing
Scammers may call you pretending to be from the bank and trick you into scanning QR codes provided by them to access your banking profile and steal your money.

   Tip:

Verify sources: only scan QR codes from trusted sources
The bank will never send you QR codes via WhatsApp/Email or ask for your banking login credentials, OTPs and CVV via email, SMS or over the phone

Digital wallet fraud
Fraudsters can steal your card details (number, expiry date, and CVV) and link their device to payment platforms such as Samsung Pay, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. This linking of the devices requires a One-Time-Pin.

   Tip:
NEVER share your OTP with anyone to authorize any activity that you did not initiate. Contact your bank immediately if you receive an OTP you didn’t request.

Investment Scam
There are fraudsters presenting investment opportunities on social media. They claim to be associated with financial institutions and go as far as using names of executives to lure you in.

   Tip:
Be wary of unsolicited offers that seem too good to be true and investigate before
you invest.

 Report fraud immediately on 0800 222 050.
